Premium Polycarbonate Sheets Installation Manual
Tools and Materials You’ll Need

– 8mm twin-wall polycarbonate sheets
– H-profile and U-profile (clear, opal, or bronze)
– Vented tape (for bottom edges)
– Aluminum tape (for top edges)
– Screws with washers
– Drill, silicone, and caulking gun
– Measuring tape and utility knife

Step 1: Prepare Your Frame
​
Make sure your wood frame is clean, level, and strong.
Your frame should support sheets every 2 feet to prevent sagging.
Ideal for patios, greenhouses, and carports in Oregon and Washington weather.

Step 2: Cut and Tape the Panels
​
Cut your 8mm polycarbonate sheets to size.
Apply vented (anti-dust) tape to the bottom edge of each sheet.
Apply aluminum tape to the top edge.
This keeps bugs, debris, and moisture out — especially important in the Pacific Northwest.

Step 3: Install U-Profiles on Open Edges
​
Slide U-profiles onto all open sides of each panel.
This protects the sheet from impact, dirt, and water.
Match the U-profile color with your sheet: clear, bronze, or opal.

Step 4: Connect Panels with H-Profiles
​
Leave a 1.5-inch gap between sheets on your frame.
Slide the H-profile between the two panels.
The H-profile connects them tightly and keeps out rain and wind.
​

Step 5: Secure with Screws
​
Pre-drill holes that are 1.5–2x wider than the screw for thermal expansion.
Use screws with washers or gaskets to prevent cracking.
Place screws every 2 feet. No need to screw near the H-profile if it’s tight.

Step 6: Seal with Silicone
​
Apply a thin layer of clear silicone where the profiles meet the sheet.
This adds water protection — great for rainy Oregon and Washington climates.
